Further to a meeting with the Charities Regulatory Authority (CRA) today, the following is an update for primary schools with regard to the requirements of the Charities Act 2009.
- Schools will still be required to complete registration under the Charities Act 2009.
- The CRA will make initial contact with all schools as soon as the method for registration is decided upon.
- This contact is not likely to be made until later in the year.
- This registration should not be an onerous tasks for schools.
In short, schools still do not need to do anything as the CRA will make the initial contact with schools.
