The Department of Education and Skills has issued Circular 0017/2014 Fair Processing Notice to explain how some of the personal data of pupils in primary and special schools will be recorded on the proposed Primary Online Database (POD) and how this data will be processed by the Department of Education and Skills, in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003.
