DES Note re SNAs and Online Teacher Training Courses

The DES has recently posted the note below on the OLCS due to the number of queries relating to SNAs and time off to complete on-line teacher training courses.
Special Needs Assistants who commence an online teacher training course from September 2012 onwards must apply for a career break for this purpose, as per Circular 22/2012. They may not avail of unpaid leave.
