The Department of Education and Skills has issued ciruclars 0035/2014, 0036/2014 and 37/2014 regarding the extension of the ‘grace period’ under the Haddington road Agreement whereby teachers, SNAs and 1978/79 secretaries and caretakers may retire and have their pensions and lump sums calculated on pre Haddington Road cuts salaries. The ‘Grace Period’ has been extended to 30 June 2015.
